Bob's Big Boy

This is one big bunny! 10 pounds doesn't seem that huge until you realize that your children were 3 pounds smaller than that when they were born! He came to us with the name "Bob" but it seems so boring. We changed it to Cuzco, but Ryan kept calling him "Couscous" so now we call him Cozmo.

Yes, he is completely litterbox trained. We keep him in the kitchen to protect our carpet just in case. (Might be a mistake if we can't get the bunny odor controlled). He's been pretty shy thus far, mostly sticking to his cage or under our kitchen table in the corner.

I'd venture to say that you would too if you had 2 small shrieking children looming over you all day long. He does hop out and around the house every once in a while but hasn't gotten himself in any trouble yet.

We'll see how the Bayles family does as pet owners. As I was writing this blog I heard Ryan laughing and Katie squawking. I went in the kitchen and found Ryan spraying kitchen cleaner ALL in Katie's hair and now he was aiming it at Cozmo. I hope this bunny lasts more than a week (not to mention my daughter).

Wow, happy Easter! Judy would love it if the Easter Bunny came to our house. And Ryan's kitchen cleaner to the rabbit sure reminds me of a story about Jamie...

Welcome to pet ownership! I would say we should organize a play date for Sofi and Cozmo but Sofi's breed was bred to hunt rabbits so I am not sure it would be a fun time for Cozmo. Please call on me to come take care of him when you guys go on vacation. I owe you for all the dog walking you did for me in Dec.

Way to go Bayles Fam!

First, I have to ask - IS HE REALLY AS BIG AS YOUR OUTSIDE RUG?? Sheesh, Jenny! He is HUGE! I had to laugh - What about getting a baby bunny that can grow up with kitchen cleaner, yanked hair, screeching children and actually grow to love it all. That's possible with a baby bunny you know. Now it looks like you have this giant gorilla in a cage! hahaha. I am excited that the kids have a rabbit though. Brings back such fun, fun memories. Now, about keeping him in the kitchen! Jenny - you are turning into your mother sooner that I realized. Just don't put that thing on the kitchen counter. With his size, he will probably chew through 20 phone cords in no time. Learn from my mistakes, will ya! Congratulations to the kids. Now Gina - come on. Get Judy an Easter Bunny. She would LOVE IT! Oh - don't get me started. Grandma Cookies

I love this!!! We've been in love with rabbits.. forever. There's tons of wild ones here in CO, they're in yards and stuff and at our previous house we had a mama rabbit have baby's under our house and one day Trista came in with the tiniest baby rabbit ever in her hands (eyes weren't even open yet) Needless to say THAT one didn't make it but we went out and got tons of books on rabbits and rabbit treats and we treated that litter? (is that what it's called) like pets until they were too big and hopped away. (Don't worry, already got the rabie talk from my MIL)
Anyways, as soon as we have a house of our own, we want one!!
PS Do you remember eating some of Cody's rabbit food when we were little? I sure do...and I'm almost positive it was YOUR idea.=)

HOW FUNNY!! I certainly do NOT remember eating Codie's food, but I'm not denying that I may have coerced you into doing it. It's a wonder you still stayed my friend!
