A Little Positive Peer Pressure Can Go a Long Way

A friend of ours recently posted on her blog a picture of her 3.5 year old riding his bike without training wheels. I was impressed and showed it to Ryan. That was all it took for him to decide that HE was ready to ride without training wheels also. If Simeon could do it, so could he. :)

Here's a little video of him learning.

Here is a little later in the day. Now he can do it without help getting started or anything. We have done little else besides watch him ride bikes the past few days.

Yay, Ryan. He looks so small to be riding a two-wheeler. I love the videos.

Jenny, I am so, so pleased!!! You give that boy a big, big hug and tell him I am so happy! He did it so well!

Bandaids. Why do I see you buying stock in bandaids!!! I am amazed at how fast he caught on! Shaking my head on that one! (p.s. Derek...does he really have to go down a hill really fast yet???)(Can't he wait until tomorrow!)signed: a concerned grandma cookies!

Wow Jenn! I haven't even taken the training wheels off of Lance's bike yet! I'll be showing him this video for sure. You can count on that. Funny thing is, Spencer just learned how to ride Lance's bike and everyone who's seen him ride have said, "maybe you should take the training wheels off, he seems pretty sturdy!" "uh, I don't think so, Lance still uses those!" Hahaha, funny how I don't give them enough physical credit to be able to do something like this. Thanks for the motivation.
Now for the hard part, keeping up with the boys to teach them, can't really run anymore and Brian's never around. Hmmmm, I'll have to recruit some unlucky park attendee! :)

He can't be ride-a-bike old already! That is really fun.

Ha ha- peer pressure indeed! Maybe Simeon will put the training wheels back on now that he saw Ryan do it!
